ALLPOWERS P300 Solar Input: Why a 160W Panel Stops at 110W

A larger solar panel does not raise a power station’s charging limit. The ALLPOWERS VOLIX P300 accepts a maximum of 110W through its solar input, even when a seller bundles it with a 160W panel. That makes the bundle a question of charging conditions and electrical fit—not a promise of 160W charging.

This is a document-based buying guide for the US P300, not a hands-on test. The exact eBay bundle checked on October 21, 2026 pairs a VOLIX-P300-US station with a SOLAX SE160 panel. Its usefulness depends on your daily energy needs, the included cable and the panel’s specifications.

P300 limits to plan around

Battery energy256Wh
Continuous AC output300W
Maximum solar input110W
Solar input voltage11–30V
Solar input current8A

Panel rating and charging power are different

The manufacturer’s P300 specification page lists the solar input as 11–30V, 8A and 110W maximum. All three limits matter. A panel’s watt rating alone does not establish that its open-circuit voltage, connectors or cable arrangement suit the station. Never treat a matching-looking plug as a complete compatibility check.

The seller calls the bundled panel SOLAX SE160. Before ordering, confirm that this exact panel and the required P300 solar cable are included. Ask for its open-circuit voltage and the applicable temperature limits if the listing does not make them clear. Do not extend the bundle’s compatibility claim to different panels or series-connected arrays. Our six solar-panel compatibility checks explain what to compare.

160W is the panel label

The P300 still has a 110W solar input ceiling. This guide does not independently certify the bundled panel’s electrical compatibility; verify the exact panel label and included cable before buying.

What the energy arithmetic can tell you

Dividing the station’s 256Wh nameplate energy by 110W gives about 2.33 hours. This is an ideal energy-only lower bound, not a full-charge forecast: it assumes constant maximum input and ignores conversion losses and the charging curve. Repeating the calculation with 160W would describe an input the P300 cannot accept.

For a more conservative planning exercise, suppose the display averages 60W of charging input during a usable three-hour window. That represents 180Wh of incoming energy before storage losses. It does not mean 180Wh reaches your appliances. Shade, sun angle, cloud cover and battery state can change the result. Record actual input over time rather than judging the panel from one sunny reading.

For the same reason, a 256Wh battery is not a guaranteed 256Wh supply at every socket. Write down each device’s measured consumption and the number of hours you need it. A hypothetical 40W load for four hours requires 160Wh at the load; that leaves less margin than the simple subtraction suggests once losses are included. This example is a budget, not a measured P300 runtime.

Choose the bundle for a small-device plan

The P300’s size makes more sense for a limited electronics kit than for heating or cooking. Check both total continuous draw and startup requirements against the station’s ratings. A 600W surge label does not turn its 300W continuous outlet into a 600W outlet. Our ALLPOWERS R600 capacity guide provides a separate reference for another compact model; its specifications are not interchangeable with the P300.

Check the seller terms before deciding

The checked listing showed New condition, Buy It Now and five available units at Henison-us, with 99.1% positive feedback. It listed dispatch from Ontario, California and shipping to the United States, excluding Alaska/Hawaii and APO/FPO among other destinations. Returns were accepted within 30 days with buyer-paid return shipping. Availability and terms can change; confirm them on the current listing.

No applicable coupon was verified for this exact eBay bundle. An offer or price at the manufacturer’s own store does not automatically apply to this seller. No checkout redemption was tested, and no discount is promised here.

Choose this package only if the verified panel and cable match the P300 and your small-device energy budget fits. If your plan depends on accepting more than 110W of solar input, select a station with a documented higher input rating instead of assuming a larger panel will remove the limit.
