LiTime 320Ah Mini Smart: Can One Battery Run a 3000W Inverter?

One LiTime 12V 320Ah Mini Smart battery should not be treated as a source for 3000W of continuous AC power. Its large energy capacity and its maximum continuous current answer different questions. A 3000W inverter can be connected to a system without every battery in that system being able to supply its full rating.
For an RV or off-grid setup, begin with the loads you intend to run together. Then check the battery, inverter and installation limits separately. This documentation-based guide uses LiTime’s current US Mini Smart model as a worked example; it is not a hands-on test or a wiring guide.
Capacity is not an output rating
What limits a 3000W load?
The LiTime 320Ah Mini Smart user manual is the starting point for the exact model. The US specifications list a 200A maximum continuous discharge current and 2560W continuous battery-side output. Those values correspond to 12.8V × 200A; they do not promise 2560W at an inverter’s AC outlets.
An inverter also consumes energy during conversion. For illustration, assume 90% efficiency and 12.8V at its input. Supplying 3000W AC would require 3000 ÷ (12.8 × 0.90), or about 260A DC. That exceeds this battery’s documented 200A continuous limit even before other DC loads are counted.
| Illustrative AC load | Calculated DC current | Reading the result |
|---|---|---|
| 1500W | 130A | Below 200A in this simplified example |
| 2000W | 174A | Less headroom for voltage changes and other loads |
| 3000W | 260A | Exceeds the single battery’s continuous limit |
Voltage matters. At 12.0V, the same assumed 2000W AC load would require about 185A. A lower voltage or a less efficient inverter raises current further. A result below 200A therefore does not, by itself, establish that a complete installation is suitable.
A brief peak-current specification is not permission to run a 3000W appliance continuously. Starting loads, other DC equipment and inverter shutdown behavior need their own documented checks.
Why 320Ah can still be useful
Amp-hours help describe how much charge is stored, not how quickly an AC appliance can use it. A large battery can support a modest load for longer while still having a current limit that rules out a larger simultaneous load. Choose between those needs before choosing an inverter by its headline wattage.
For example, 4096Wh × an assumed 90% conversion factor ÷ a steady 500W AC load gives about 7.4 hours. That is only a planning worksheet: usable charge range, inverter overhead, battery condition and variable consumption can reduce the result. Use our runtime test log to record the actual load and stopping point of a suitable completed system.
Questions for the system designer
Bring a list of simultaneous loads, including their starting demands, to a qualified installer or system designer. Ask for confirmation of the inverter’s input voltage and efficiency assumptions, battery current at the lowest expected operating voltage, protection requirements, and the total load from equipment connected directly to DC.
The current US Mini Smart specification includes Bluetooth and low-temperature charging protection, but it does not list self-heating. Low-temperature cutoff and active heating serve different purposes. Our guide to LiTime self-heating charging behavior covers a separate model; its heating features must not be carried over to this battery.
If inverter waveform is another part of your decision, read why pure sine wave inverters matter. Waveform quality does not increase the battery’s current allowance. More batteries or a different system voltage require a separately designed, manufacturer-supported configuration, not an improvised workaround.
Check the exact Mini Smart model
The LiTime US store listing distinguishes battery-only packs from kits and chargers. Check the selected package, current price and delivery terms. A kit’s inverter rating does not change the single battery’s published continuous discharge limit.
Checked October 12, 2026: the US store advertises an automatically applied seasonal offer. No separate eligible coupon code was confirmed for this model. Prices and package discounts can differ; use the store’s current total rather than assuming an extra code or a fixed saving.
The buying decision
Choose this battery for a documented energy requirement and a load profile that fits the complete system. Do not interpret 320Ah, a short peak-current claim or a 3000W inverter label as proof of 3000W continuous AC output from one battery. Check capacity and current as separate limits, then leave sensible headroom.
