LiTime 100Ah Xtra-Mini Fit Check: Measure More Than the Battery

The LiTime 12V 100Ah Xtra-Mini Smart has a compact case, but a successful fit requires more than matching three measurements. Compare the exact battery dimensions with the usable compartment, then allow for connections, terminal protection, secure restraint and access. A smaller battery can still be a poor replacement if the existing hold-down cannot retain it.
This is a pre-purchase planning guide for the US 1 Pack, SKU L12V100-100-XTRA-MINI-BT-4-A55. We checked the official store and the exact model’s manual on October 19, 2026. We have not installed or physically tested this battery.
Dimensions to put on your fit worksheet
| Published length | 9.02 in / 229 mm |
| Published width | 5.43 in / 138 mm |
| Published height | 8.19 in / 208 mm |
| Terminal bolt size | M8 |
Start with the exact case drawing
The Xtra-Mini Smart user manual shows the case drawing and terminal locations on its product-overview page. Use those measurements as the starting outline, rather than borrowing a Group 24 or Group 27 drawing. Photograph the label on the existing battery and write down the proposed replacement SKU so the comparison remains tied to the right version.
Measure the narrowest usable space, including the opening through which the battery must pass. A compartment can be wide inside yet have a narrower door, lip or brace. Note each obstruction on a simple sketch. Do not count space occupied by another component as spare clearance, and do not assume that a lid will close because the base fits.
Draw the connection space separately
Make a second outline for the connections above and around the case. Ask your installer to account for the actual cable lugs, insulating covers and cable routing. Avoid inventing a universal clearance number: the required space depends on the hardware and installation. A drawing that leaves no room for the real connections is not a finished fit check.
Check where the positive and negative terminals sit relative to the existing cables. A shorter case does not guarantee that a cable reaches its new terminal comfortably. Do not stretch, trap or sharply reroute cables to make the purchase work. Cable length, protection and any changes to the system belong in the installer’s assessment before ordering.
An old tray or strap may have been designed for a larger case. Ask a qualified installer to confirm secure retention, terminal protection and access. This worksheet is not an electrical installation procedure.
Check the hold-down, lid and future access
Record how the current battery is restrained and ask whether that hardware is suitable for the smaller case. Include the lid and its closing path, not just its final position. Leave a practical way to inspect the battery and remove it for service without disturbing unrelated equipment. If the plan depends on rotating the battery, obtain confirmation for that exact orientation from LiTime and your installer.
A useful decision sheet has four separate answers: case fits, connections fit, restraint fits, and service access remains usable. Treat an unanswered item as a reason to pause the order. This avoids turning a small apparent space saving into an unexpected tray, cable or enclosure project.
Physical fit is only one buying gate
The fit worksheet does not establish electrical compatibility. Have the charging system, protection and intended loads assessed for this model. If charger selection is part of the change, our 20A charger and 100Ah recharge-time guide explains why charging current and a time estimate are separate checks.
If you are expanding a bank rather than replacing a single battery, read our battery-bank matching checklist for the questions to ask. That article covers a different model; its model-specific permissions are not approval to mix this Xtra-Mini with other batteries.
Check the exact pack before checkout
The official US store listed this single-battery variant as available at our check. Its shipping policy covers the continental United States and excludes Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Confirm the selected pack and current delivery coverage before buying. We omit price and coupon claims here; sale banners and delivery estimates can change, and this manually maintained product card needs a fresh check when used.

Buy after the worksheet is complete
Choose the Xtra-Mini when the complete physical layout and system assessment support it. If only the bare case fits, keep measuring or select another suitable battery. The useful saving is usable space in a secure, serviceable setup, not an empty volume calculated from a product photograph.
